TAPE 410

Quality: EX (*MASTER*)

Length: 2.5 hrs (2 DVD)

GREAT AMERICAN BASH '88 24/7 - 7/10/88 (This is the 24/7 version of the Bash, which is the full PPV with music changes. All matches are shown in their entirety, unlike the commercial tape version. Great stuff here. I've got a DVD master so VQ is EX.)
Sting & Nikita Koloff vs Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (Excellent match - ***1/2) Fantastics vs Midnight Express (***1/2 - Titles vs Whipping - just another great match between probably the two best North American teams ever. Cornette is locked in a strait jacket inside a cage but the Midnights win the US tag titles anyway) Road Warriors, Steve Williams, Ron & Jimmy Garvin vs Kevin Sullivan, Mike Rotundo, Ivan Koloff, Al Perez, and Russian Assassin (Triple Tower of Doom Match - Retarded concept of three stacked cages with trapdoors in their floors. Wrestlers start at the top and escape to the bottom when the doors open at set intervals. To win, every team member has to escape. The problem? Well, the last guy in for one team can get double, triple, or quadruple-teamed. Even worse, Precious is the keyholder for the bottom level and gets left alone with Sullivan after her team wins. The cage is locked so the guys have to come in from the top to save her. This is just soooo stupid it hurts.) Barry Windham vs Dusty Rhodes (Ronnie Garvin turns heel) RIC FLAIR VS LEX LUGER (GREAT MATCH, even with a crappy finish. Man, did the NWA blow it by not giving Luger - or Sting - a run with the title in 1988. Even a short one would've been good. This is the famous "Baltimore Blood" match where the match is ended by "the Maryland State Athletic Commission" because of a tiny trickle of blood on Luger. Luger screwed up and barely bladed instead of the gusher he was asked to do.)
