SIBERIAN CYBORG: FEDOR IN RINGS (Finally complete, my Fedor in RINGS comp! Before he was the unbeatable world champion of Pride, Fedor Emelianenko was the awesome world champion of RINGS. Presented here are all of Fedor's known fights for the RINGS organization, along with several bonus fights that serve as a "Best of RINGS Shoots". Nothing earth-shatteringly great here, but it's fun to see the beginnings of the "cyborg" before he got to Pride. Quality is EX except where noted.)
Fedor Emelianenko vs Levan Lagvilava, 8/16/00 (Fedor's MMA debut - VG/EX) Fedor Emelianenko vs Hiroya Takada, 9/5/00 (Fedor's Japanese debut) Fedor Emelianenko vs Martin Lazarov, 11/5/00 (VG/EX) Fedor Emelianenko vs Ricardo Arona, 12/22/00 (Controversial decision that very well could have gone down as a loss for Fedor...) Fedor Emelianenko vs Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, 12/22/00 (As of this writing, this is Fedor's only loss. It's a BS loss as Fedor loses because of accidental - but illegal - elbow that cuts him above the eye. Fedor was more than willing to continue fighting, but the doctors couldn't stop the bleeding. Should've been ruled a no-contest, but they called it a loss for Fedor. BS!) Fedor Emelianenko vs Mikhail Apostolov, 4/6/01 (VG/EX) Fedor Emelianenko vs Kerry Schall, 4/20/01 Fedor Emelianenko vs Renato Babalu, 8/11/01 Fedor Emelianenko vs Bobby Hoffman, 8/11/01 (No fight, Hoffman forfeits, and Fedor claims his first title) Fedor Emelianenko vs Ryushi Yanagisawa, 10/20/01 Fedor Emelianenko vs Lee Hasdell, 12/21/01 Fedor Emelianenko vs Christopher Haseman, 2/15/02 (Fedor wins RINGS Absolute Class title) Fedor Emelianenko vs Egidijus Valavicius, 4/5/03 (Rare fight from RINGS Lithuania) Fedor Emelianenko vs Yuji Nagata, 12/31/03 (From Inoki Bom Ba Ye) Gilbert Yvel vs Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, 4/23/99 (from back when Gilbert Yvel looked like a future superstar) Kiyoshi Tamura vs Frank Shamrock, 4/23/99 (Questionable call late in the fight turns a Shamrock victory into a draw. Great, technical fight that shows two artists in their primes.) Volk Han vs Lee Hasdell, 12/22/00 (From the KOK 2000 tournament; Han shows that he's not just a submission guy with a HUGE KO here) Hiromitsu Kanehara vs Dave Menne, 2/24/01 (Wild, action-packed fight from the KOK 2000 tournament. Only a questionable stoppage hurts this one. Volk Han vs Antonio Nogueira, 2/24/01 (Not real sure why this is here, but it's a fun fight nonetheless, from the 2000 KOK tournament. Always neat to see Volk Han in a legit fight, this one being the only loss of his career.)
